Question 1

What is BGUN?

Accepted Answer

BGUN is a European firearms and shooting sports community platform. We connect licensed dealers, private sellers, and shooting enthusiasts across 25+ EU countries. Features include a classifieds marketplace, shooting session analysis and sharing, gun ratings, finding gun shops nearby, and more.

Question 2

Is BGUN available in my country?

Accepted Answer

BGUN currently operates across the European Union. Our platform is fully compliant with EU Firearms Directive 2021/555 and supports users in Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Poland, Spain, Sweden, and many more EU member states.

Question 3

Is BGUN free to use?

Accepted Answer

Creating an account and browsing is completely free. Selling listings have a small fee depending on your plan.

Question 4

How do I create an account?

Accepted Answer

Click "Get Started" on the BGUN homepage. You will need a valid email address and to confirm you are 18 or older. For selling, you may need to verify your firearms license depending on your country.

Question 5

What payment methods do you accept?

Accepted Answer

BGUN processes no payments of any kind. It is a classifieds and contact platform: no firearms, ammunition, or regulated items are sold, paid for, or shipped through BGUN. Any payment terms are strictly between buyer and seller.

Question 6

Can I delete my account?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Contact privacy@bgun.eu from your registered address and we will delete your account and personal data in accordance with GDPR within 30 days.

Question 7

What firearms can I sell on BGUN?

Accepted Answer

You may only list items that are legal in your country and compliant with EU regulations. Prohibited items — for example Category A firearms such as fully automatic weapons — must never be listed. Listings breaching this rule are removed when reported or detected.

Question 8

Do I need a license to buy on BGUN?

Accepted Answer

BGUN does not verify licenses and takes no part in any transaction. By law, the seller must verify the identity of the buyer (and the buyer the seller) when completing the official transfer paperwork, through a licensed dealer where required. This verification is entirely your responsibility.

Question 9

How are disputes handled?

Accepted Answer

BGUN offers no buyer protection, no escrow, and no dispute mediation. BGUN is a classifieds and contact platform only and is never a party to any transaction. All risk lies with the users.

Question 10

Is my data safe?

Accepted Answer

BGUN complies with GDPR. Data is encrypted in transit and messages are encrypted at rest (this is not end-to-end encryption). Firearm records are private by default. We never sell user data.

Question 11

Is there a BGUN mobile app?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The BGUN app will be available for iOS and Android. It provides full marketplace access, shooting session tracking and analysis, gun ratings, and finding gun shops nearby — all on the go.

Question 12

Can firearms be sent by post or email?

Accepted Answer

No. Firearms and ammunition may NEVER be sent by post (Deutsche Post, La Poste, bpost, PostNL, Royal Mail, etc.), by standard courier services, or by email. Only licensed arms dealers with authorised transport may move firearms. Any transfer must comply with your national firearms legislation and EU Directive 2021/555.

Question 13

Does BGUN provide permits, forms, or transfer paperwork?

Accepted Answer

No. BGUN does not provide any legal forms, permits, transfer documents, or paperwork of any kind. You must obtain all required documents from your national firearms authority. BGUN is an advertising platform only — we do not sell, ship, store, or facilitate the physical transfer of weapons.
